Helping people improve their self esteem using “cognitive and behavioural” therapy techniques
“You can achieve anything you set your mind to”
About me
✨I’m a qualified specialised Cognitive Behavioural BABCP Accredited Psychotherapist , interested in helping people improve their self esteem
✨I believe in flexible labels - I think having a diagnosis such as “generalised anxiety/ OCD” etc. can be helpful for determining a treatment plan, however, I don’t think they have to define you and can change over time
✨I have 6 years experience working as a therapist for NHS talking therapies in the UK 🇬🇧
✨I offer inclusive/ adapted therapy (neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+, cultural differences/ spirituality)
Qualifications:
BSc Psychology (International) - University of Leeds and Arizona State University
Post-graduate certificate in low-intensity psychological interventions - University of Sheffield
Post-graduate diploma in high intensity cognitive and behavioural therapies - University of Chester
BABCP Accredited
✨I enjoy travelling (especially learning about new cultures), yoga, meditation, going for hikes/ walks, but always open to try new things
✨Values - Authenticity, Openness, Empathy, Adaptability
✨ I have lived experience of post-traumatic distress/trauma, OCD and anxiety
✨ I don’t believe in the term “disorder” , but rather human experiences
✨ I don’t believe in “toxic positivity”, I believe everyone should be able to express their emotions fully, in order to heal
Low self esteem approach, core belief work, rules for living work

Holistic approach. I believe that one size does not fit all and therapy should be adapted, as much as possible, to the individual client’s needs.
-
Yes absolutely. I believe people who are neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, acquired neurodiversity) are much more likely to struggle with their self esteem, due to societal pressures and I believe therapy should be adapted to suit individual needs as much as possible
-
I’m an inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming practitioner and believe people from the LGBTQIA+ community are more likely to struggle with their self esteem due to societal adversity

What to expect:
I usually spend the first 1-2 sessions exploring your difficulties with you and collaboratively devising a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific individual difficulties with self esteem and goals for therapy
I’ll provide CBT resources (either printed out or sent via email), such as diaries, thought records, behavioural experiment forms etc. for between session work and will recommend that you write down any learning/ reflections from each session in a notebook
We’ll do a midpoint review of your goals for therapy
At the end of our sessions, we’ll collaboratively create a maintaining progress plan to help you cope with relapses/ setbacks going forward
If you feel I’m not the right therapist for you or your difficulties may be better suited to another specialist practitioner, I will recommend places to go to find a practitioner with that speciality/ training
